Martin Garrix & Matisse & Sadko – Forever

The reconfirmed number one in the world is back with “Forever”, a nice progressive tune that I will review today.

In collaboration with Matisse & Sadko, this is the third tune of the trio, which obviously represents a good combination. I consider it better than “Dragon” but not as good as “Break Through The Silence”, so it’s a good result!

“Forever” is a sweet progressive production, thanks to the M&S calm style combined with Garrix vibes. I love the structure, this is somehow both powerful and emotional. Its point of strength is the strong melody, catchy and solid.

The intro is splendid, orchestral and creative (seems almost to be in a church), then the melody starts to play. What can I say there? This is fantastic, even the vocal is emotional.
The drop is great, it has the right energy and he gave me nostalgic feelings…

It’s a simple scheme, nothing particularly innovative, but it works. Martin Garrix is good in progressive house, and I’m glad he’s focusing on it, even if the songs are simple they have an insane energy. I appreciate that, especially when he teams up with this duo: the results are always stunning.

In conclusion, the only problem of “Forever” is that it doesn’t bring anything new to the scene (apart from the church organ maybe?). However, every element is good and well made, so I must admit I kinda love it. Not a masterpiece, but a song that fits with the “number one in the world” nominee.
