Third Party – Remember

Emotional, really emotional
Lovely harmonical structure
Pure progressive house at its best

Third Party are well known because of their progressive house tunes, and it seems like they wanted to close the year giving us the last dose of emotional music of 2018. Their latest banger is called “Remember,” and this title suits the melancholic feeling of the whole song really well, creating a charming and emotional atmosphere that gives you goosebumps every time you listen to it.

Starting from the first break, I can say that this is epicness taken to the next level: soft synths, pads, atmospheric elements, organic instruments and, of course, a warm male vocal. Those were the elements they chose to fill this part of the song, and the result is just fantastic. Right after that, the main melody is introduced in the intense build up, creating a great hype until the drop comes.

Some supersaws playing the melody welcome us at this point, being accompanied by a rich bass and a punchy kick. We can’t forget about the great job they did to the background: chords, vocals, and many other elements add some extra magic to this part, which can strike your heart quickly.

The second break is similar to the first one, but not identical at all. These guys have an extraordinary ability at making different harmonies and variations around a simple harmonic arrangement, making each part of the track genuine and unpredictable.

I reached the end of this track with a big smile on my face, just hoping to hear more masterpieces of the English duo in the next year. Meanwhile, I’ll listen to this on repeat, remembering all the good progressive house that 2018 gave us and trying to imagine what 2019 will be like. With pieces of art like this, we can categorically re-affirm that this beautiful genre will never die.
