73/100
• Delightful and opulent
• Uses simplistic schematic, yet imposing
• Charming vocal from Svrcina
With the second half of the year in full effect, we have seen and discovered a lot of uprising talents in the industry. However, for today, we won’t be straying or diverting to a new talent for the discussion. We will be revisiting one of our favourites, Arcando. This well-endowed Italian native has surprised his fan-base as well as heavyweights with his productions, and we yet another unique one from him to talk about today. Utilising the alluring vocals from the talented Svrcina, he has displayed his merit once again in crafting a delectable yet energetic to the core track. Titled as “Like This”, this pop/future bass has been made to win hearts with its sublime elements.
The young prodigy we are talking of has been quite busy in his studio. Churning out a subtle collaboration or instrumental nearly every month, he has gathered even more fans with his alternative style of productions.
Back to our topic of this particular review. “Like This”, just like the preceding release we just talked about, demonstrates elegance with exquisite vocal hooks from Svrcina, along with a hypnotic piano in the backdrop. Swirling around, guitar licks materialize for added subtleties, as the vocal gains chorus and vigour with the elevating instrumental. Settling down for a few moments, the breakdown brings in the catch, with the riser gaining over from the background. With an adept transition, the drop sweeps in with atmospheric tone, including brasses and imposing vox snippets to enhance the mood. Without overwhelming stamina or dynamism, this drop keeps it simple and opulent at the same time!
In a short note, “Like This” is undeniably ear-catchy with its clean and creative arrangements, along with the graceful voice!
