• A song with BALLS
• Western mood, but with a spooky twist
• Massive drop, rich with brutality and energy

We don’t review a lot of hard house, it’s a genre that gives its best in festivals rather than on our headphones, but “Jesse James” deserves an immediate review. It’s a song with BALLS.

Add to that characteristic a lovely and creative concept, and voilà, we have a massive banger capable to amaze every crowd! This Heavyweight Records release (Carnage’s label, quite underrated actually) is exactly what we want to find. The American star has picked GRAVEDGR under his wing and after the collab “Hijueputa” and the single “Rampage, the Heavyweight “veteran” is already at his third release!

We must add that GRAVEDGR has a particular personality… His symbol is the grave emoji, and his style is, not surprisingly, brutal and violent. In “Jesse James” we find some Carnage (and probably Timmy Trumpet) influences in the drops, but nothing more. The most of this tune is pure, simply, amazing, genius.

Jesse James has been a famous criminal in the Old Wild West.

This fact is the main characteristic of the homonym production: a “western-style” catchy break introduces itself with personality and pure GRAVEDGR violence. A frenetic melody begins to play with a really fast pace: the listener can sense the “spooky” atmosphere of the song from the first notes itself. Then a “Timmy Trumpet” kind of trumpet (always distorted in a particular way) starts to bring up the climax, quickly escalating in a brutal hard bounce drop. We loved that part: bouncy, with personality and catchiness, and that “scary” vibe that characterizes every tune by GRAVEDGR. The second drop – no spoilers- is even more aggressive, so be prepared!

In the end, there is a lot to say about GRAVEDGR and “Jesse James”. For us, this intriguing producer may be the Carnage successor, we easily understand why Papi Gordo has chosen him. His style is tremendously aggressive and sometimes “scary”, difficult to enjoy if you are not into the genre, but we hope that you guys will appreciate the creativity, the personality and the energy of his work. Very very fresh.
