Tony Junior & Reggio – S4YM

84/100

We have a super collaboration as April nears its end, one which definitely boasts intensity and energy. The team-up we will be talking about consists of renowned Dutch artist Tony Junior, along with the creative and talented Reggio. Both of them have a known impressive record, and the resultant production henceforth been titled “S4YM”. It’s quite an unexpected combination, because the duo works on different sectors: electro house/big room and dark progressive… And the final result is future house!

While impressing us with his aggressive electro style, Tony Junior has engaged his listeners with flair. His previous release was an ethnic yet peppy song called “Unite“. Reggio, also recently collaborated with Syzz, to formulate an electro/progressive work named “Joker“. Showcasing steady and driving sounds, he ensures meticulously that his fan base gets the best from him.

With “S4YM”, the pair experimented to cultivate the unexpected. The breakdown playing over at first introduces a pitched up vocal. Another piano enhances the nuances, adding more feel-good harmonics to it. The riser makes no further delay in the entrance, as it swiftly sweeps in to push in the formative drop.

Incoming with a massive chunk of stamina, the drop presents a bouncy detuned lead over a competent bassline. Also, paired along is a signature Reggio synth sound, which takes over alternatively. Many listeners are bound to get surprised, as they may have anticipated a totally different drop. This bounce yet dominating drop significantly notches up this track to a whole new level. There is a kind of “Curbi” approach (heavy and particular future house) mixed with the signature Reggio dark progressive!

With all this said, it is a guarantee that “S4YM” steps up as another intriguing but imposing piece of work. It’s compatible with upcoming gigs unfalteringly!
