There are multiple new and uprising artists in the scene, and many of them end up making generic productions. However, only a few are truly excelling, and transforming it into an even better one. One of our favourites is Retrovision, who is certainly well adept with his skills. This French talent has skyrocketed exponentially lately, impressing many people and big names. We will be talking of his latest genuine work today, unveiled on prestigious Musical Freedom. Titled “Get Down”, this track delivers peppy and captivating vibes to amuse your ears.

Before we analyse anything about this splendid song, it is a must we have a brief synopsis to understand better. Retrovision is an active personality, and maintains a healthy quantity to quality ratio. In last month, he has revealed an official remix for Madison Mars, re-touching his latest single “All They Wanna Be. While the original is a poppy and delectable tune, this remix lays down a firm club compatible drop for the dance-floor. Around the same time, he came forward with an experimental and ear-catchy trap song “Galaxy”. This self-released track put the spotlight on his inventiveness and ability to further extent.

Switching back to the genre of future house, “Get Down” emphasizes well on keeping the dynamism. As we all know, a touch of nostalgia always does wonder to a production. Utilizing this, Retrovision sampled and revamped two different records from the past. But we will get to that a bit later. It all starts with a familiar swanky and colourful Disco-ish melody. If one pays close attention, they may remember the lively melody from 2004’s “The Lola Theme”, created by English duo Shapeshifters. Without doubt, this famous melody works effectively, instantly generating the enchanting and spunky vibes. But to put a cherry on top of the cake, the drop also upgrades the mood to another degree. Taking inspiration from TJR’s “Ode To Oi”, this drop swaps in squeaky and vivid synths, changing the tone to more genial one. While it has a contrast to the preceding segment it follows, it amps up the groove to a vibrant and animated level.

After saying all these words, a conclusion can be drawn easily that “Get Down” carries the endeared summer tone, along with an alluring hint of reminiscence.
