We are extremely happy to be here today, reviewing “Body High”. It’s an important song, for the EDM scene.
There are artists that are undoubtedly connected to a genre. It’s like the case of Headhunterz with hardstyle. Despite his change of style back in 2014, and the superlative quality of his releases, fans continued to feel that hardstyle is his real forte. Needless to say, now that he returned back to his roots, and he is releasing his hardstyle album today, his fans are elated.
However, today there is another important comeback we’re here to discuss: Paris Blohm. His story presents similarities to that of Heady: both incredibly renowned in their sector, they have had a successful experimental period and then came back to their origins. With even better results.
Yes, because “Body High” is a wonderful song. A pleasure to the ears. Paris adopted all his unique techniques and managed to drop an emotional and vibrant banger that’d give one goosebumps.
“Body High” has the classic Paris Blohm scheme: the melody is emotional and passionate, the break has its own personality and vibrant energy, the drop, as expected, is magnificent. The melody, despite not being one of our favourites from Blohm’s catalogue, is accompanied by a perfect bassline, and the overall result sounds powerful and catchy. It emanates so much energy and emotions… It’s a skill that only a handful of artists around still have.
Paris Blohm, with “Body High”, didn’t even experiment with risky elements. Classic structure, classic emotional vocal, classic goosebumps. This was necessary: this is what fans were expecting from the scene, the experimentations can come later. Maybe that’s the only weakness of “Body High”, but we are pretty sure that it will be a great hit!
