Afrojack ft. Stanaj – Bed Of Roses

February 17, 20182 min read

74/100

The Dutch heavyweight artist Afrojack has displayed his versatility with his new melodic and luscious release “Bed Of Roses”, featuring the upcoming vocalist Stanaj. This song is supposed to be a special release for the Valentines Day, which falls on 14th of this month.
That’s a good idea for Afrojack, and even if fans are used to his aggressive dirty style, “Bed Of Roses” have been well accepted. His sweet side didn’t disappoint!

In fact, after releasing aggressive and hulking productions like “Keep It Low”, “Hands Up” and “Bad Company”, the Dutch legend came back with another future bass release. The result is a delightful sing-along production which is definitely alluring to the ears.

Starting with a typical melodic iterating pluck (forming an arp), the engaging vocal from Stanaj takes over. While the backdrop continues with the same pluck synth, subtle pads add a lush attribute. Without any complications, the breakdown introduces the usual future bass snare riser, taking up to a delectable and peppy drop.

Consisting of characteristic future bass saw, the drop also gives space to another pitched melodic synth, extremely catchy. Verdict for this drop would be that it could feature more interesting elements but nonetheless manages to embed the elemental charming quality which any melodic future bass drop require. Afrojack didn’t really deliver a work of creativity, but, as always, the quality is extremely high.

“Bed Of Roses” shows some romanticism from Nick, and it has the potential for becoming a great hit. It’s obviously more pop-focused, but it still shows some good personality!

Our verdict for “Bed Of Roses” would be that, even if it is slightly generic, it fares well and is adequately pleasant. Enjoyable.
