Bali Bandits is a duo that, surely, won’t make you bored. The two Dutch producers (who are not from Bali, as the name can suggest, but from Bali Street, from Amsterdam!) are notorious for their unpredictability and geniality. During the years, they experimented with various genres, while keeping their unique “happy” style and their main objective: make people happy. Their discography is full of important releases on majors like Revealed Recordings, Spinnin’ Records and Hexagon, but considering them “mainstream” is an insult.
Bali Bandits music is creative, unpredictable, and incredibly entertaining. Unique.
As they call it, their style is “a music box on acid”, and, being serious, while listening to “2 Supermodels”, there is that “trippy” feeling. Starting from the funny cover (totally not photoshopped), this future bounce banger presents some similarities with two of their previous releases: “Toink” and “KABOOM”. The unique squeaky lead and the curiously distorted pre-drop vocal are similar… So we can consider it a sort of “follow-up” of those tunes.
However, as said, Bali Bandits sounds are impossible to predict! The break, in fact, presents a particular and super catchy electro/future scheme, simple but interesting. It starts slowly, but quickly gain speed and catchiness. The drop is crazy and difficult to describe with words: every second gives a new feeling: it’s complex but fluid and dynamic.
.Taking a listen to “2 Supermodels” is extremely recommended: a funny and happy song, with a particular energy and uniqueness. It will surprise you.
