D-Wayne is back again on the scene with a lovely bass house tune, “Trippin'”. During the years, the Dutch producer has always shown creativity and innovation, exploring different genres while always showing his signature acid style. In “Trippin’”, once again, we find D-Wayne sound, but with a bass house unpredictable twist. If you were expecting something generic, well, you will be suddenly disappointed by a splendid fresh drop! D-Wayne worked very well there, following a constantly evolving structure. Every bar is different, every distortion is unpredictable, every second is a new feeling in the air. Creating a flavoured and crazy scheme, D-Wayne managed to break the monotony, to surprise the listener, and to deliver a beautiful banger.
The hyper-acidity of the lead is a lovely detail, in addition. D-Wayne literally shouted: “I’m here with my experience and personality”. The break, in fact, even if it’s not at the same level of originality of the drop, makes its decent job, building up a trippy atmosphere for the second part of the tune. Slightly minimalistic, but consistent with bass house rules.
Funny fact: another song called “Trippin” (without the apostrophe) has been released by Wall in 2017, produced by the Dutch artist Maddix. However, if we have to pick between the two “Trippin” releases, our choice goes to D-Wayne’s version!
