Snøwmass, hailing from the US, has released an interesting and unique future bass tune. “Crossfire” is a track equipped with a splendid combination of unique sounds, differentiating from the crowds of future bass tunes out there. Featuring an emotional and sublime vocal from Mona Moua, the track keeps a dynamic balance between a unique soundset and an emotional mood.
“Crossfire” has a soothing sentimental start, with soaring pads and strings in the backdrop. The vocal adds more depth to the song as it progresses. The synths finally come in, and it reminded of Deadmau5 progressive synths. The drop hits with its unique power, and follows a majestic slow pace. A more future bass kind of drop, but having an influence of old progressive genre. Perfect idea! Emotional and introvert, but with the right amount of energy and power.
The second breakdown after this lets the vocal be the front element again, with piano and the pads forming the back elements. The arp slowly escalates and precisely brings in the drop.
My thoughts about this track would be that it beautifully combines emotional elements from different genres, with a future bass/chill step twist. This experimental idea definitely is one step ahead!
Snøwmass definitively managed to impress the listener with a song that breaks the schemes, adding orchestral elements, energy, and deep feelings. That’s exactly what we mean when talking about creativity and personality.
