Sam Smith – Too Good At Goodbyes (Cherry Beach Remix)

October 24, 20172 min read

Following after the release of the emotional pop hit “Too Good For Goodbyes” by the renowned English singer Sam Smith, many good remixes came, as usual, to make the song rather more danceable. One of such remixes, (which I find really innovative and out of the box) is from Cherry Beach, who not only added a future bass twist but an experimental attribute to the overall song.

On clicking the play button I was expecting the track to start with the original song, but rather a surprise was there for me. A robotic slightly distorted voice greets me, and its none other than original vocal given a unique vox effect. I have to admit it immediately got my attention. With a laidback beat in the backdrop alongside, it smoothly transitions into the original breakdown of the song, without any effect this time. After a few seconds, the synth starts developing in the background, giving a future bass feeling, with snares and snaps to help with the riser, finally, smoothly leading to impact the imposing drop.

The catchy yet groovy drop is equipped with future bass metallic saws, supported by typical future bass percussion. But it does a perfect job of giving a nice touch to the complete remix.

My final verdict would be that this remix stands out from the crowd of other remixes that have been done for this hit track. Definitely, a must listen if you admired the original one.
