Max Vangeli and Danny Ray teamed up and delivered “Made For Lovin’ You”, released by No Face, Max’s interesting Armada sub-label.
The Moldovan EDM Veteran, one of my personal favorite progressive producers ever, decided to mix his sound with the Danny Ray’s one. The American artist, au contraire, has a more groovy and tribal approach. Useless to say that their styles fit well together, together with the experience and the talent involved. Anyway, that’s not what I liked the most. I liked the meaning of the song.

In “Made For Lovin’ You”, there are two layers of nostalgy.

First, the vocal, the amazing and legendary vocal inspired by the KISS masterpiece “I Was Made For Lovin’ You”. That’s, in my opinion, a genial idea, because I think nobody ever tried to reboot such a unique song in a progressive way. The overall effect of the break part is an uprising climax, full of elegance (typical of Max Vangeli music), old-school vibes, and that little pinch of aggressiveness by Danny Ray. A delightful recipe, isn’t it?

The drop gave me goosebumps.
Swedish House Mafia goosebumps, being clear.

That’s the second layer of nostalgy.

What can I say there? Danny Ray and his drums added that little touch of power in addition to Max Vangeli special lead, and the result reminded me the legendary “Miami To Ibiza” by SHM. However, I must admit that Max Vangeli has always had in the past a kind of “SHM sound”, that’s why I love so much his music.

In conclusion, “Made For Lovin’ You” is a nostalgic reconfirmation. Number one, Max Vangeli is still incredibly good in making progressive, always bringing freshness and experience. Number two, Danny Ray is someone to keep an eye on, his job has been perfect.

What. A. Track.
