Quartzo Records Presents ADE Sampler 2017

October 16, 20173 min read

That was pretty unexpected, but Quartzo’s ADE Sampler is actually my favorite sampler of this year. Powerful selection, with a huge amount of creativity and talent, this is something you can’t miss!

I selected my personal top 4, four releases that impressed me the most and are ready to be reviewed!

1. Duxxfire – Fall Apart

90\100

“Fall Apart” reminds me of Axwell&Ingrosso. Yes, it was unexpected, but this future house/progressive song is so good that I dared to compare Duxxfire with two of the biggest artists out there.

I loved it, the melody is magical and the drop is something completely out of the world. Simple but effective idea. There is talent, here. Duxxfire is, in my humble opinion, a guy to look after this year. I have that particular feeling, like he will come back on EDM Reviewer… “Fall Apart” is the icing on the cake of this Sampler, and my personal favorite

2. Declain & Novera – Space Station

88\100

I don’t even know how to start here. “Space Station” is a bomb, an interesting production by Declain and Novera, and they definitively impressed me under every point of view. The genre is a mix between big room and dark progressive at first, then it unexpectedly becomes hardstyle and festival trap. This is the definition of thinking outside the box, while keeping the Quartzo aggressive vibes! Superlative!

I was already a fan of Declain, but this is a masterpiece. Congratulations to both the guys!

2. Dexodus – Kong

86\100

Dexodus has always been very particular, some of his tracks are unique, and “Kong” partially enters into this category.
Keeping the Quartzo electro house style, Dexodus still managed to maintain his creative sound with this electro production.

This beast impressed me especially with its second half of the drop. That bouncing lead (similar to little screams, it reminds me of Ftampa) is extremely catchy, and I fell in love with it.

The production keeps a high rhythm and dynamism, thanks to its gorgeous melody and the majestic work on percussions and kick. A really good electro track, in my opinion.

4. N.P.G & Drek’s & Oliver Hawls – Atlantis

81\100

Three artists worked on “Atlantis”, and the result is magnificent! It’s a pure Quartzo release, with an aggressive electro drop, and tons of blasting energy, as expected. I personally liked the work made on the break: that particular lead, “orchestral” in a certain way, makes everything mysterious and curious. If we give a quick look to the title, we can immediately understand that this is a nice way, because “Atlantis” has that interesting touch suggested by the title. I like that coherence, it’s a good idea!
