This is a clever remix. Otto Knows remixed “Without You”, Avicii’s and Sandro Cavazza hit, and I really appreciated it.

Let’s explain why I said so.
First, I have to say that “Without You” is a good song. It’s not a super hit as the previous Avicii tunes, but it obtained a good success and I dig it… I was hoping for some good remixes (by the way, I already reviewed a good bootleg by G-Sus) and Otto Knows luckily fulfilled my desire.

The Swedish artist isn’t very active this year, but he’s still very good in his job! His remix is intelligent and very cautious: he didn’t really twisted the original, the break is almost the same, but he worked on some little details and improved the overall result, making it more catchy, dynamic and lovely. A successful remix.

As said, the break is almost equal to the original. The superb vocal is still valorized, but it’s the drop my favorite part!

It’s similar to Avicii’s version, with the same melody, but more progressive. It’s not the powerful progressive we can expect, but a more elegant and sweet, pure Otto Knows style.

As said, this “Without You” remix is clever because Otto added his signature sound and didn’t change the Avicii mood of the tune, giving a slightly better rework. It was a difficult task, because the song is really easy to ruin, it has a delicate mood.
