M11 – All The Same Way

85/100

A few weeks ago we had reviewed a splendid trance track from Alexander Popov and M11 – “Last To Leave”. The Belgian duo, without much delay, has released another major progressive tune on Interplay records. “All The Same Way” keeps an epic and dynamic tone throughout, impressing me all the time.

Soaring pads greeted me in the intro, slowly increasing the tension. Orchestral drums and vocal chops come in to enhance the atmospheric epic and uplifting feeling. Slowly swaying the riser glides in to lead up to the imposing drop. What an atmosphere!

The drop features progressive saw synths in the top, playing an emotional and moving melody, backed by a strong kick and firm bassline. I am really impressed by the sounds M11 select for making drops, always new and unique. The only words for the drop would be electrifying and uplifting.

The second breakdown features the same elements from the first breakdown, but with a lovely guitar in addition. The drums appear again, leading to the riser rhythmically, finally making the splendid drop impact. Both the “All The Same Way” breakdowns keep an orchestral tone, without any suffice of interesting.

M11 have certainly proved with “All The Same Way” that they can brew up a perfect progressive track in the studio. Also, I am pretty happy to see a major trance label releasing a progressive house track, and thus I firmly believe Interplay Records are looking forward to becoming significant in the contemporary EDM genre. None the less, I am excited for what this duo has for us in the future!
