SVNTOZ – Slayer

The Mexican producer SVNTOZ recently released his Art EP, which as mentioned by Harsh Label, contains “unique dark style” from this producer. I do agree with their words, as I listened to “Slayer”.

“Slayer” happens to be an aggressive hard house tune with it’s nailing kicks and screeching synths. This track has some appreciable power and strength to it! Never the less, it’s a genre appreciated by a small group of EDM fans, because of its aggressiveness, but I still suggest to check it out.
The track starts with a basic intro with a vigorous distorted kick majestically leading way, and soon another synth joins it, pausing to in time to introduce the breakdown, which initiates with 5 seconds of silence, increasing the tension in the atmosphere.

The melody backed with powerful hardstyle influenced saw synths, gives the melody a nice strength. The riser shows up to let the drop impact severely.

The drop contains the same kick with a distorted saw synth, but it is the drop melody which really impressed me. It has first risen and then two notes play in sync after it, but none the less creating an intense rhythm. In the second part of the drop, another synth comes in following a catchy melody. It’s sounding somewhat like a percussion, an accurate description would be hard to give. It unfailingly adds more “darkness” to the whole drop.

“Slayer”, in conclusion, summons up a lot of aggressiveness and violence, which is the main characteristic of the genre, and it does it pretty well. SVNTOZ did a great job in creating a perfect combination of hard house and rawstyle (a tougher sub-genre of hardstyle).
If you prefer the harder side of the dance music, then this track will certainly please you.
