Maurice West – Voices In My Head

The Mainstage Music prodigy Maurice West is back with another creative tune, “Voices In My Head”!

I really liked this one because once again the Dutch producer mixed his big room style with another genre, this type a “soft progressive house” one. I agree with some critics saying that “Voices In My Head” isn’t well suitable for Mainstage Music, but it’s still a nice experiment! Maybe Armada was better, though.

The track is completely dominated by vocal chops, a classic Maurice West element, and by an elegant piano. The scheme is quite simple, but super effective! We have a classy break, where the piano plays alongside with a crazy vocal, then, in the drop, Maurice West shows his skills.
I must say that the elegance of the drop is the best detail of the tune, because this talent mixed perfectly the strength of the lead together with the piano, the melody, and the hypnotic vocal chops.

He experimented, and he experimented well. The result is an awesome and creative track, where elegance fits perfectly with catchiness and geniality.

Special mention to the vocal, too! The female singer made a nice job, and the transition between her pitched voice and the vocal chops is as smooth as silk. She’s the cherry on the top of “Voices In My Head”.

In conclusion, I hope you will like the song! It’s slightly “softer” than Maurice West usual music, but I loved the idea, and how well he managed to equilibrate all the element to reach the right mood.
“Voices In My Head” is not a masterpiece, but another nice name to add to the West discography!
