Dropgun & Aspyer – Next To Me

April 14, 20182 min read

78/100

Today, from the cold land Russia, we have some unexpected fresh summer vibes!

In fact, the leading dance music duo Dropgun, have been releasing alluring and catchy productions lately. The pair has teamed up with the renowned Electronic producer Aspyer, who also hails from Russia. Together, the trio came up with a subtle sing-along tune, titled “Next To Me”. This future bass/pop track has sublime summer elements and enchanting vocals from Romy Dya, boosting its ability to be the next summer hit.

Dropgun aren’t new to the future bass genre. Known for their rhythmic future house works like “Nobody”, “Fever” and “Nothing New”, they also released “Rhythm Is A Dancer” (feat. Breathe Carolina) yesteryear which got streamed heavily. Their earlier release was on Dharma Recordings, where they adeptly experimented with ethnic sounds and contemporary future bass. The result was “Krishna”, which also got major appreciation. Aspyer on another hand, is an uprising artist who released singles like “Denied Again”, which garnered major attention.

Both those artists gave a significant emphasis on the making of “Next To Me”, adding memorable melodies and a vibrant tone. Initiating with a grandiose, the vocal leads the breakdown along with a bright and lively backdrop. Adding organic components like guitar, the breakdown swirls and complements the vocal opulently. Next comes the drop with a calm yet lively vibe. With a guitar lead on the top, the future bass groove elegantly moves along with it. The vocal embeds an ensnaring atmosphere altogether.

“Next To Me”, nonetheless, falls into the class of those songs, which are perfect for unwinding in a vacation or in a long drive. Soulful work from these Russian talents!

Making a summer song now is difficult, because April is the period when a huge amount of similar sounds are presented to EDM fans. Creatisomethinging both enjoyable and interesting is not easy. In our humble opinion, Dropgun and Aspyer managed to solve the problem with experience, passion, and the right approach.
