• An unlikely collaboration of two different styles
• Embedded with appealing vocal, alongside with engaging melody
• Sound selection in the drop by Mesto, vibrant work by Jay on the breakdown
This year seems to get even with unlikely team-ups and collaborations, and today we have yet another one. The specific pair we will be talking of today is two renowned names in the industry, going by the stage names of Jay Hardway and Mesto. These luminaries have already enhanced the dance music with their respective works, and today is the day we finally get to listen to their joint effort. Titled as “Save Me’, this lively and kinetic production from this dynamic duo aims at blending of two styles in a creative way. Once again, we have this particular delectable record released in none other than the mammoth label of Spinnin’ Recordings.
Previously, we saw the Dutch talent, Jay Hardway, brewing alluring melodies for his début of this year, “Coffee Please”. This production featured the usual charming and unique instrumental, while complemented with delicious and luscious vocal components. Following that, the preceding month revealed his successful team-up with native duo-logy The Him, named “The Jigsaw”. Once again, there was no dearth of feel-good vibes with this one. On the other hand, Mesto paired with the Dutch executive Tiesto, providing us with “Coming Home”. Included in the “I Like It Loud” EP, the track immediately stood apart with its flavorful and engaging elements.
With all this said, there are no doubts about the quality and nuances of the song we will be talking today!
Greeting the ears with happy and appealing melody, the breakdown further introduces an enticing vocal. Pitched up for adding to the subtleties, the vocal then leads the cheery backdrop, harmonized with sublime pads. A chiming synth works along, as the riser approaches with squeaky drop synths. The drop kicks in with unexpected stamina, playing out rapid riffs in accordance to the shuffling bassline. This bouncy combination gets augmented with frisky variations in the synth-line, adding to the experience. Even if the drop hints at Jay’s work, we feel that Mesto expertly did the sound selection, while his colleague crafted the other vibrant segment of this release. Nonetheless, an amalgamation of the distinct flair of both this artists works efficacious-ly, keeping the listener amused for the entire duration.
Summarizing, it would be justified to say that “Save Me” is a splendid creation from this two eminent names, making it a significant and noteworthy release of this month.
