Paris Blohm ft. ENOK – Save Us

78/100

After his glorious comeback to progressive house with “Body High”, the American producer Paris Blohm continues to amaze his fans with his emotional style! “Save Us”, released on the label Metanoia Music, is a delightful collaboration with the vocalist ENOK.

The break is the part that immediately impressed us. A vibrant bassline, slow yet energetic, supports the awesome vocal. ENOK did an amazing job, delivering the right emotional mood. He fits well with Paris’s style, we hope to hear the two working together again! Then, after an escalating buildup, we have a catchy drop.

Here Paris Blohm slightly experimented with a simpler melody than usual, and the result is fresher than expected. Sure, fans can stay calm, there is his classic signature structure (massive bassline, powerful lead, passionate mood), but the feeling we felt is a bit unusual. It sounds like there is more importance given to the bassline and the vocal than to the melody. Slower and calmer than assumed.

This is, actually, a good idea, because ENOK’s vocal is not energetic, but rather calm and delicate. Paris Blohm accompanied it with a lightweight structure.

The points of strength here are the vocal, the bassline, and that magical atmosphere given by the notes. An atmosphere of hope and faith, happy yet retrospective at the same time. Particular.

“Save Us”, in conclusion, is soft and emotional, a good progressive house gem. Paris Blohm is back, and he is not showing any signs of stopping producing great music!
