Is this how the Sinphony boss treats his collaborators?

My relationship with Timmy Trumpet has been sweet and sour: The Australian performer has an entertaining persona during live exhibitions (at least on the mainstage), has a hallmark brand (his trumpet), and has always tried to bring out underground genres and names. He has synergies with more independent figures as well, such as Sub Zero Project, STARX, Dr Phunk, Mariana Bo, and so on. At the same time, Sinphony has fostered Hardstyle, Hard Trap, and more niche genres on Spinnin’ Records! And as per our prior reviews, the results of such associations are often interesting!

Then there’s the other side, the sour part. We have blatant team-ups with notable monikers like R3HAB or Steve Aoki, to name a few among the many bland releases with the bare minimum effort or passion. Thus, it’s no mystery that at such levels, big names need behind the scene collaborators to help in music production.

And it seems, since the beginning, behind the trumpeting alias was JEBU.

JEBU took it to Twitter for insinuating the “Freaks” creator not acknowledging him for over 30 releases, including his largest hits like “PSY or DIE” and “Party Till We Die”. There is an entire SoundCloud playlist for those. Something occurred between the pair, and now the Australian act is working with others (likewise the slight increase in forgettable releases).

If the allegations are true, this makes JEBU’s case particularly unfortunate considering the fame and notoriety of Timmy Trumpet. As a blog focusing on under-the-radar producers, it makes us disappointed for having praised several stylistic choices that were someone else’s hard work originally.

All I ask is to be credited correctly when producing/writing music for others.

In the most likely scenario, Timmy Trumpet wouldn’t care about this appeal, but if this catches his attention: we hope that he addresses this criticism and eventually provide proper credit to those actually involved in his popular discography, regardless of their status.
