Almost a year after the two otherworldly and celebrated music-making robots separated their ways on an arid stretch of land, one even blowing up to dramatically demonstrate the conclusion, it seems the French alias was far from over. Daft Punk, who announced their separation after three decades of irreplaceable hits, are onto something mysterious again.
On the momentous Twosday (2.22.2022), the duo’s social accounts took a life of its own and started posting various photos, exciting fans about a possible comeback. Soon after, an only once viewable Twitch livestream was held of their momentous show held at the Mayan Theatre in Los Angeles on 12th of December 1997, in which they performed without their iconic helmets on. Simultaneously, a deluxe 25th anniversary reissue of the album “Homework” also became available on various platforms.
Many suspect that there is more of an involvement from Warner Music here, who signed the mentioned album at the time, than the creators themselves.
