Even if the northern hemisphere now dips in temperature slowly as each day passes by, luckily there are Electronic songs which will help us reminisce of the warmer season for rest of the wintry times. And we have just the catchy heater to talk for today, crafted meticulously by Dutch native Sem, teaming up with a charming voice delivered by Ruely. This certainly would appease many Future Bass fanatics as well as diverse listeners with its cheery tone.
Since it is the first time we are ever talking of Sem, the opportune will never be better to introduce to his distinct trademarks and recent discography. Heading over to his SoundCloud page, the very first upload from the solo act was done almost three years ago, with his independently released debut titled “Like U So”. Unlike many artists who undergo a transformation and shift to other genres, Sem has seem to improvise and polish his skill-sets on one specific niche of Dance music. And this shows, as the releases afterwards gain more experimentation characteristic, retaining the signature which one could hear from the initial single: atmospheric, laid-back and vocal heavy melodic/chill Trap base that doesn’t fail in grabbing attention entirely!
The attention to details can be found similarly on “Gone”, without compensating on attempt to offer stand-out hooks and sublime tonality. Starting with a heartwarming (and rather nostalgic), all credits due to the digitally altered brass leads accompanying the delicate vocal performance. Without introducing too much intricacy, the drop segment swiftly appears, presenting us with vocal-chops, distorted and pitched up to enchant fluently. Without repeating the same arrangements much, and classily boasting its efficient and minimal structure, the song progresses with a radiating mentality. It is bound to delight audience with its adept chord and lightweight chord progression, but charged with a healthy dose of energy.
Unlike many commercial alternatives in the mentioned style, which chooses to operate with the clichéd synths and blueprints, “Gone” denies to be textbook and ups the ante in sound selection and melodic aspects to satisfy. Highly recommended if you are in a mood to unwind and head-nod heartily!
