• STMPD-style house with ethnic vibes
• Genial take with jazzy pre-drop fill
• Good starting point for building up a signature style
Back from where, exactly, considering that this is RevoideN’s debut? However, the young Turkish creator has demonstrated an impeccable quality, making me wonder if this is simply a new comeback alias, thus explaining the title. Or is the ephithet perhaps pitching for the somewhat forgettable vocal loop in the track?
Revealed Radar, with its three weekly releases, is a label I often forget to check, but this time, I luckily managed to spend five minutes to discover this one, head-nodding to this intriguing banger!
With discernible Seth Hills/TV Noise influences, RevoideN reworked the near-chaotic Electro House style with infusion of Arabic influences. This recipe is somehow elegant, especially in the build-up part. The pre-drop fill had me the most, a sudden syncopated swing that left me bewildered to great extents!
If you are a STMPD fanatic, you will surely be familiar with the drop layout regular on the imprint… To put in words, it usually consists of hard-hitting electro leads in an intricately processed structure. The ethnic vibes infused by RevoideN adds tinge of requisite personality to the formula, thus delivering an enjoyable and refreshing output. It’s a good commencement for building up, a début that, in my opinion, has performed well enough.
RevoideN’s use of samples is intelligent, adding unpredictability to an already morphing blueprint. I would dare to compare it with a more aggressive Blinders. It’s material cut for underground-oriented labels like STMPD, maybe not Revealed Radar, but it’s a good catch for the sub-label. Waiting for more revelations from the new talent, pleasantly impressed.
