July 26, 20192 min read

• Subtle and elegant groove
• Chiming hooks
• Charming vocal presence

After a brief hiatus, the Swedish upcoming dynamic pair Trilane have made came back with a new melodic and sublime production. As expected, the duo has crafted a resonating Progressive House track, emphasising on the hooking prowess. Working along with the native vocalist Philip Strand, this all Swede team-up have synergized “Believe”. Published under Protocol Recordings imprint, this song left a perfect impression on our ears and urged to type our thoughts about it!

Before we discuss the further details of our today’s topic of discussion, we will do a brief recap of the recent releases these creators have been involved with. While Trilane started the year strongly with a fruitful collaboration “Still Think Of You” with uprising solo act Loris Cimino, also featuring the notable singer David Shane. The track distinguished itself with shuffling rhythms, further aided by the sublime breakdown and unique elements. Same can be said for “Believe”, which shares the characteristics to sound even alluring and engaging!

Reverting to our original point, the single begins with a chiming guitar riff, as the charming voice appears subtly. The embedded appeal enhances as a sublime piano (or rather group of synths supporting the said ingredient), surfaces to aid in a smoother transition. Sooner than expected, the following section arrives with an effortless way, upholding the serene sound from the preceding segment, the breakdown. It is interesting to note that the instrumental prefers to follow a rather elegant pace, rather than usual faster gait one could imagine. This rather maintains the dreamy tone of the atmosphere, making it even ear-pleasant and delectable!

To summarise in a few words, “Believe” further solidifies our conviction that Trilane are genuinely demiurgic, with a splendid vocal presence!
