Florian Picasso – But Us (feat. Echosmith)

July 1, 20191 min read

• Delectable vibes
• Charming vocal presence
• Synth-pop arrangements

After his latest team-up with the leading Dutch act Nicky Romero, the French artist Florian Picasso has come up with a new synergy, this time with the reputed pop band Echosmith. Charmingly titled as “But Us”, this collaboration has delivered an alluring song, if not unexpected. It has been revealed in Martin Garrix’s premier label “STMPD”, last Friday.

Quite contrary to his usual style, “But Us” conforms to being a delectable radio-friendly pop track, while at the same time not shying away from the electronic influences. Comparing Picasso’s earlier releases, such as “Midnight Sun” and “Hikari” (which are more suited for a festival play), this production selects laid-back and synth-pop vibes for itself.

Talking about the instrumental, the subtle atmosphere greets along with the vocals, which holds on to a melancholic but ear-catchy tone. Credits to the backdrop synths, the breakdown emanates a dreamy and tempting vibe. However, the drop segment takes the cake with the ’80s tinged arrangement, featuring saw synths and vocalizing elements that give a vibrant and pleasant experience!

In summary, “But Us” delivers something different on the platter, and especially would satisfy the taste-palate of the Electronic-pop connoisseurs!
