• Pure progressive schematics
• Atmospheric synths
• Keeps it engaging throughout

Talented Russian duology Matisse & Sadko have unveiled one of their most demanded production yet, as a gift for their fan-base. Titled as “Melodicca“, this release is a decade old record made by the pair, before their break-through in the scene. The track draws inspiration from the vintage progressive genre, which was a massive style back then.
Let us talk about this alluring work in this article!

Reviewing this 2018, we saw the duo remain active throughout the year. Their latest song was a release in Musical Freedom, named “Takeoff“. Amalgamating classic House vibes with groove/tribal rhythms, the single was yet again creative and energetic nonetheless. “Melodicca” goes back to their roots, taking inspiration from the hypnotic schematics of Swedish luminary Eric Prydz. They revealed their back-story about this, which we suggest our readers to refer. Long story short, Eric Prydz played their single after six years, on Beats 1 radio. Certainly an inspiring anecdote for new producers who want to make it big.

Talking about this single, the instrumental builds up tension as time lapses. Utilizing atmospheric pad synths, the track elegantly brings up the melody to the brim. This melody revolves around the beat, working alongside the atmosphere. Following a definite progression, the synths slowly variate, bringing more nuances on the table. The whole synth-line gives off a synthwave feel, which captures attention as it plays back. Giving intensity to the production is a subtle electro bassline, shuffling along with the other components harmoniously. To draw it all in one picture, the arrangement keeps a narrative and engaging tone without losing steam!

In few words, “Melodicca” will, with certainty, bring back memories for many listeners. A brilliant decision by the dyad to release it after all this time!
