With the onset of this year, the aggressive and pumping genre of “Big Room” has been revamped in a certain way. While the heavyweights of EDM scene like the Hardwell or Blasterjaxx have already unveiled some festival-wrecking productions already, it would be justifiable to say aspiring and young talented musicians are getting inspired simultaneously. Therefore, we are seeing new producers with unique tracks on the scene every day. Today we will be talking of two particular names, SHKHR and LGHTR. While the former hails from India, the latter is Poland based, their collaboration presents different cultures’ vibes. Some of our old fans may feel familiar with LGHTR’s name, since we already reviewed one of his splendid works, “51”. Both have crafted a groovy big room song, titled “Hawk Eye”, released in Panther’s House.

Let us look at the style of both the collaborators before analyzing their joint effort. Though they both work in the domain of Big Room house, they follow their own signature sounds. While SHKHR opts for a more modern-day schematics of festival house, LGHTR has been known to deliver moody dark progressive. With this combination of vibrant sounds, the resultant is the striking record of which we are going to talk now.

Using a typical percussion laden introduction, “Hawk Eye” strides towards the drop without much delay. With much gusto, the intro steps forwards to transition to the first breakdown. This segment embeds orchestral drums and atmospheric pads, while gathering stamina for the oncoming drop. The riser follows soon after, and being brief, it swiftly brings up the expected. Kicking in with squeaking synths, the paced backdrop also compliments to another set of synth riff, playing alternatively. Exploiting the leading components, the drop successfully generates the required pizzazz.

Summing in few words, “Hawk Eye” meets the expectations eagerly with its vivacious and dynamic tone. This has surely convinced us to keep an eye out for this artists, as they impressed us well enough!
