The Spanish producer and DJ Taao Kross delighted us today with a splendid summer hit, mixing classic future bass together with a captivating vocal and a pinch of electro house that, let’s admit it, definitely convinced in presenting “Start A Fight” to you.
“Start A Fight” is an intriguing song.
Released via Blanco y Negro and featuring the delightful vocal of Haneri, this composition blinks an eye to the trending summer chill trap, but contains an incredible amount of energy! The lead used by Taao Kross is a pure electro house one, capable of adding to an already catchy melody the right twist. In addition, a massive bassline gives to the trap drop an additional amount of power!
The lead, at the first listen, sounded slightly familiar… After a deep research, we finally found why: it slightly reminds “Metro Music” by David Guetta, an instrumental track contained in his album “Nothing But The Beat”. A splendid song, by the way, and one of the most underrated releases ever by the French star!
Anyway, this funny connection helps us in introducing Taao Kroos! The Spanish artist, in fact, is resident at Pacha Ibiza, one of the most important clubs in the world, at David Guetta’s F★★★ME! I’M FAMOUS parties.
For presenting this really good production, we have also managed to obtain a little interview with the Spanish talent himself, and we wanted to thank Taao Kross for his time and availability!
1. “Start a Fight” is a remarkable track which reminds us of the classic Monstercat sound. What can you tell us about the creation of this track and working with Haneri?
This production came out super fast.
I wanted to do something in this line, different from everything I’ve done so far.
I have been immersed in the studio for a while looking for the new TAAO sound and I have embarked on a new musical direction where I think I have found something different for new productions.
2. You’ve said that you’ve had a passion for music ever since you were twelve years old, what turned your passion into a career? (Walk us through the steps that got you to where you are today)
Since I was very little I had a real passion with being a DJ and getting as far as possible.
I started like everyone else at home with a cassette trying to mix, later my parents bought me some turntables and I practiced hours and hours every day.
I went every week to record stores and bought all the latest, there I started to be very exquisite with my musical taste.After a while practicing at home, I went to several DJ competitions, until I became the No. 2 in my country (Spain)…
That’s how it all began until a while ago and TAAO KROSS was born professionally …
It is true that I could count thousands of anecdotes, curiosities and experiences … I would need 3 books to do it hahahaha
3. Tell us about one of your favorite performances so far!
I have many shows, to say one in particular is very difficult.
I visit many special countries like; Brazil, Italy, Malta, India, China, Germany … of all I have great memories and unforgettable experiences.
It’s true that acting in IBIZA more than 15 times each summer in the best club PACHA, with a great artist like my partner DAVID GUETTA … is very special.
It’s also true that every year I visit clubs and festivals with a lot of magic to which I have a great appreciation and I value that they want to always count on me.
4. You’ve already experienced so much success in this industry, where are you hoping to go from here? (what sort of legacy are you hoping to leave behind?)
I still have a long way to go in the industry, I want to continue step by step until I reach my goal.
I will not stop until the public recognizes me for my music and never forgets my name.
I’m still no one for what I have in my mind and for that I am working very hard every day… I’m writing my own story and I’m still going for the T of TAAO KROSS!
