The review of today probably has the smallest amount of vowels in the full title that we have ever seen! Two American producers teamed up with other two American singers, delivering the sensational “Destroyed”. Their names are Kris Cerro, DVRTY DVN, SVMVNTHV and CXNNXR.
Despite not being super fans of future bass, the tune impressed us because of its energetic and catchy vibe. No unnecessary vocal chops, no moments of silence, no “dead parts”. That’s what we liked: “Destroyed” doesn’t have a single instant of boredom.
Usually, this genre has an emotional approach (for example, here the lyrics are very deep) and a calm break… Here, the two singers made a great work, delivering a wonderful and captivating vocal break, while keeping a profound message inside the lyrics.
Kris Cerro and DRTY DVN completed the work in the drop: a heavy bassline smashes the beat, with a slow yet powerful scheme. We apprecIated it: no unnecessary vocal chops or complexities, just pure energy. The melodic structure is streamlined, but not too simple: also, the lead has been perfectly produced… It keeps a passionate vibe while playing, but it adds that further necessary energy to this amazing drop.
“Destroyed” is an example of how beautiful EDM can be. Even an oversaturated genre like future bass (in our opinion) can bring incredible gems to the listeners. Today we have another example of that.
The only lack we have found is in the artists’ stage names (lucKily Kris Cerro kept three vowels alive), making the whole list quite difficult to spell… However, being serious, we can grant that this will be the only missing element you will find in “Destroyed”!
