77/100
One of the Hexagon’s renowned future house artist Sagan has returned with yet another vibrant and unusual production named “Need You Too”. This track has been unveiled by the Dutch mega-label, Musical Freedom.
After kick-starting this year with the enchanting tune “We Are Lost” on Spinnin, Sagan has displayed his versatility and experimental nature by infusing 90s unmistakable swanky sound onto contemporary house music schematic.
The breakdown of this track generates an elegant 90s vibe, as Sagan adeptly embedded a charming 90s vocal snippet, while simultaneously re-creating the vibe to assist it. It’s a common characteristic of some MF releases, those vintage vibes are clearly appreciated by the label’s boss Tiesto. For us, they always give an elegant sensation to any break, a lovely idea!
The selection of synth sounds in the breakdown is unfalteringly catchy, and hooks the listeners with its sublime elements. The result is a colourful and peppy breakdown, which subtly introduces the rhythmic drop. Here the “vintage mood” is killed by the fresh Sagan’s lead. It’s not a bad thing, but probably the transition is slightly too harsh.
With a playful vibe, the drop bounces in with an impressively animated melody, keen to impress the listener. The sonorous future house synths coupled with the alluring melody enhances the drop’s efficacy to a notable extent. “Need You Too” brings some Hexagon vibes to MF, adding a further great release in their catalogue.
“Need You Too” is a delightful and genuine track which would easily secure its place among many upcoming significant festivals and club events. Sagan made a simple structure, but with the right catchiness and sweetness that impressed us. Another good release from the Spinnin’ sublabel!

I don’t understand how you could give a glowing review of a unique track a 77 and then give some progressive house garbage a high B?? I mean this definitely isn’t one of Sagan’s best in his new style, but at least it’s different that some of the other stuff that’s coming out.
