Today we are talking about trap. This genre is quite rare on EDM Reviewer, because of various reasons… But you can be sure that when we present a song, it’s because it truly impressed us.
“Majesty” is a title that immediately stirs in the mind an elegant, solemn, classy image.
Well, Apashe did it, but in a revolutionary way. His whole EP “Requiem” fuses orchestral elements with a brutal trap approach in a genial way, and today we picked as an example “Majesty”, the main song. We must add that “Dies Irae” and “Lacrimosa” are superlative too, but our selected tune presents even more personality. It’s a tune that it’s hard to describe…
For a whole “surprise effect”, our advice is to stop reading, open the link, and discover what the splendid mind of this Belgian artist invented.

“Majesty” begins with an elegant violin, a vibrant organ lead, and a catchy rap part by Wasiu. The drop’s vocal seems taken from a church acapella choir… Astonishing. With an aggressive trap growl and a brutal bass, the drop switches from a solemn tone to an EDM approach every 3,4 seconds. Somehow, Apashe managed to balance two of the most different things in the whole music universe.
It’s incredible.
“Majesty” is hard to describe with words. Behind it there is an incredible talent in mixing different genres, using orchestral elements, perfect mastering skills, and even Wasiu’s part developed a splendid vocal.
It’s creative, interesting, revolutionary, and astonishingly balanced.
Multiply this characteristic three times (because the other two songs of the “Requiem EP” follows a similar scheme), and you can easily understand why we gave a 90+ rating to it. That’s the highest current rating we have ever given to a trap song (of course, remember that we rarely present this genre).
The only word to add is not even in English.
