Axwell Λ Ingrosso – Dreamer (Remixes)

February 4, 20183 min read

The new hit by Axwell & Ingrosso received a deluxe remix pack, and we are ready to review it. Despite being “Dreamer” a successful and appreciated song (more than 30 million of views and 34 millions Of streams), it received some critics from EDM fans because of its… “Pop approach”. Nothing wrong with it, but fans wanted something fresher, something more “EDM”.

Here’s the solution.

4 beautiful remixes, each one of them produced by great artists, ready to amaze A&I fans. “Dreamer”, sung by Threvor Guthie, is still a splendid song, but we are happy to declare that Matisse & Sadko, Khlar, Alpha 9 and Jack Wins worked hard for improving it. Let’s begin our analysis!

1. Matisse & Sadko Remix

90\100

Pure progressive style, with old SHM vibes. The favourite version by fans is the one made by the Russian duo Matisse & Sadko. The formula is simple: the duo picked up the “Dreamer” original drop and added a progressive twist to it. We must admit that the result sounds way more dynamic and enjoyable in this way! In few words, that’s a clever remix, exactly what fans wanted. Oldschool vibes, irresistible catchiness!

2. Khlar Remix

85\100

One of the most interesting upcoming producers around is Khlar, Axtone’s new prodigy. The young artist is showing a relaxing yet melodic style, quite particular, and this remix is a perfect example of his skills. Adding a calm and peaceful touch, together with the adrenaline melody, wasn’t easy… Khlar made it.
With elegance and positive vibes, his remix is our second favourite!

3. Alpha 9 Remix

82\100

Arty (aka Alpha 9) put his hands on “Dreamer” and the result are classic vibes, together with an emotional rhythm. The difference between this edit, and the Khlar version is the drop. The typical Arty sound fits well with A&I influences, and, even if some catchiness got lost in this melody change, it’s still a pretty good remix!

4. Jack Wins Remix

75\100

Despite the undisputable talent of Jack Wins, his remix didn’t really shine. His groovy house is exciting, but nothing more. The catchiness of the melody is a bit lost, when compared with the original, but for future house lovers, this is a little gem. An advice: the riff in the second drop is magical, way better than the first part!

Those were the 4 remix, please let us know which one is your favourite!
