KAAZE, one of the dazzling talents of Revealed, is back with the second part of his ShowKaaze EP.
I personally enjoyed the first part (available here), but here we are on another level!
The Swedish talent brought only three tracks, but his talent and passion are brighter than ever! The songs are extremely good, all of three with the typical KAAZE sweet sound. A masterpiece, an evolution of the previous EP and the demonstration that KAAZE is continuously improving. Best EP of the year? Maybe.
3. KAAZE ft. Cruickshank – Soulmate
80\100
Yes, the least favorite song of ShowKaaze Vol. 2 has gained a beautiful 80. “Soulmate” is good, a “classic” KAAZE track, but with a little bit more interest, because of the singer. This is symbolic, but Cruickshank represents the beginning of the KAAZE career. In fact, in 2014 he remixed “Footprints” by Tiesto. The remix, who gained almost 2 millions plays on Soundcloud, and it’s objectively a work of art, helped KAAZE to get some important recognition, it was a milestone.
Guess who was the singer: Cruickshank indeed!
Now the two guys collaborated on “Soulmate” and the result, even if quite generic in the structure, has a splendid melody and a particular energy. The drop is emotional and melodic, having, in addition, an industrious bassline that makes the output energetic. As said, it’s a wonderful production, but unfortunately, the other two are one step higher.
2. KAAZE & Joey Dale – Black Sahara
87\100
“Black Sahara” was unexpected. The exotic collaboration was rumored to be with KSHMR, because of the elements used, but Joey Dale made a great comeback instead! The ShowKaaze gains a whole new level of creativity, first of all: we have a usual KAAZE progressive sound, but Joey Dale heavily influenced the output, making “Black Sahara” fresh and creative!
The vocal, even if it’s just a detail, is relatable. The distorted guitar riff in the break is wonderful too, but the drop is basically a masterpiece. Fluent and smooth, with an epic melody, perfect fills, and even an aggressive trap part! Wonderful idea, it will surely surprise you.
This is the “crazy” track of the EP, a song that was though as “out of the box”… The two artists definitively did it pretty well!
94\100
Jonathan Mendelsohn reached the perfection here.
He’s already one of the best singers out there, with legendary collaborations, but here his voice gives goosebumps, follows perfectly the base that KAAZE created, adds that “epic” feeling to the output and basically push “End Of The World”, the ShowKaaze and KAAZE whole career to another level.
This is a work of art.
The break is impressive too, those violins are simply perfect. As you probably know, I’m obsessed by violins, and you can understand why when listening to track as “End Of The World”.
What do you think?
