Blasterjaxx ft. Uhre – Bizarre

This is some very refreshing stuff. To be honest, I love the Blasterjaxx’s trap style nearly as much as their big room style, and “Bizarre” is a proof that they’re capable of many things.
This is is a wonderful trap track built in 3 main parts.

First, there’s this breakdown with this wonderful melodic synth. This is my least favorite moment, because I feel like this could be something more unique. However, the vocal is quite good, and it makes the whole thing very emotional. We can already hear some background snares that Blasterjaxx use in their trap tracks.

After a few seconds, when the break is starting to approach, there’s a cool loud synth. I like the way it gives such a different feeling, that something heavy is coming. It’s also at that moment, that UHRE starts to speed up a little bit her singing. It’s definitely a good way to make the track evolve.
The vocal also starts to get distorted into vocal chops.

Then, we have the break. There’s an amazing alternation between the vocal chops and this normal ‘You Make Me’ vocal loop in it. What’s funny in it is that when I heard it first, I didn’t even understand it was the break. It’s so well mixed and so fascinating that it feels like it’s still the breakdown. However, there is one little flow which is remarkable at that moment though, or more precisely just before the drop: it’s when the pre-drop vocoder comes!
I find it cool as it’s pretty unexpected but it doesn’t fit with the rest.

Third, we obviously have the first drop with its 2 or 3 seconds of downtime in the beginning, with only a brand new synth which is spectacular. And then, all the background sounds get added into this synth and it’s magical. The echoing drums are remembering the ones that were in ‘More’ and for the bassline, it’s a bit similar to ‘Revelation’. But it still remains unique, and especially because of this main synth which is astonishing. The basses are very powerful too. And the vocoder at the end of the drop is not disturbing me this time. This first drop’s short though.

The buildup is quite interesting as well, the lyric changes and the melody becomes a bit more quiet, giving space to the vocal. It is a surprising moment, and it breaks the monotony of the song’s scheme.

The second break is a bit different but it remains as awesome as the first one, the little flute synth added to it is in the continuity of the rest, so that’s very good. And the third drop is really good too. I feel like there are one or two more layers in it than in the 2 other drops, but it’s still not messy and it remains catchy.

In a nutshell, this is a real trap banger so I advise you to check it out. Blasterjaxx nailed it as always!
