79/100
The eminent duo Tritonal haven’t slurred a bit behind in releasing tunes during the17th summer of this century. Pulling out singles and bunch of ear-satisfying remixes, the duo has released another of their splendid productions, this time with a wonderful vocalist, Laurell, whose voice without any shade of doubt lent this tune a compelling attribute.
Also, another notable thing to mention is that “Good Thing” is the 300th tune of Enhanced Recordings, founded by the duo. Enhanced releases some truly superb tracks quite often, and I suggest you checking them out.
We all are familiar with Tritonal’s melodical and driving progressive style… Who can forget “Colors”, with Paris Blohm? Though this tune isn’t progressive ho but it certainly has the same catchy and groovy feeling.
“Good Thing” keeps a slow pace throughout, but nonetheless it certainly keeps you hooked. It commences with a pleasing vocal chop, introducing the engaging vocal and a pleasant guitar in the backdrop. Keeping a charming atmosphere (ideal for a summer tune), the tune sways towards a subtle drop, featuring vocal chop, with the identical guitar and a kick supplementing the groove.
The first drop fades away for the second breakdown, and without much differ, the splendid vocal smoothly leading to the harmonic drop.
Before signing off, the track repeats the vocal and the drop again, ending with the same vocal chop of the beginning.
My final thoughts on this one would be that this release is quite good as a summer release! Tritonal proved that they can flawlessly craft beautiful production like “Good Thing”.
