That’s another unexpected surprise from Spinnin’, a collab between two very important names in the future house scene : that’s Lucas & Steve and Madison Mars. I won’t introduce them, I think they are popular enough, but their two styles are very different. Even if I must admit that they fit pretty well together, I wasn’t expecting “Stardust”.

On one hand, there is this more aggressive and energetic style from Madison Mars, and on the other hand, the melodic future house from Lucas & Steve.

The vocal chops in the first part are incredibly sweet, and indeed, they give such a punch to this classic melody they used. This part isn’t amazing, but it’s still very beautiful. The chords evolution is great even though I feel like it would have been dope to have a typical Lucas & Steve’s synth in it.

The break is also mainly from Madison Mars. The snares and kicks added in this part make the whole thing more captivating but still the track doesn’t explode with energy. And then comes the pre-drop vocal, a bit generic and it doesn’t add anything particular.

Then comes the drop… I really liked it! Being honest, I don’t find as energetic as expected, but still an high quality part. Expectations are sometimes way too high, I understand that. However, the sound design is really interesting, and the bassline is pretty incredible and original.
Nowadays, this is very hard to find an original beat in any genre, because already many beats have been used. But here, they still managed to give an unique and catchy beat to their drop. And even if the energy of this isn’t spectacular, it remains impressive and it’s totally in the continuity of the breakdown and break.
In short, “Stardust” has not the most energetic drop Lucas & Steve and Madison Mars have done, but it’s catchy.

The build-up part is my personal favorite, though. At first, we can hear the same synth and nearly the same vocal chops as in the breakdown.
But if you listen carefully, there’s a new layer that is added. Indeed, you probably guessed it, this layer is none other than a typical Lucas & Steve’s little sweet synth.
I think it makes all the difference, and this low-pitched melodic sound showcases those vocal chops.

When the break comes, this low-pitched synth becomes dominant. The tone of it becomes higher too, and some impressive snares appear. It’s the moment when Lucas & Steve bring out their amazing melodic touch, but unfortunately it’s too short.

To conclude, this track is truly a must-hear. I mean, just to have an opinion about it.
