2018 is the year of the progressive house”, many people say. Well, surely a lot of artists are bringing back this awesome genre, like Stadiumx, Nicky Romero, even Matisse & Sadko! Today, we proudly present another glorious comeback, Feenixpawl’s one. Many of you know this great American duo thanks to the hit “In My Mind” (edited by Axwell) together with Georgy Kay and Ivan Cough.

During the latest period, Feenixpawl experimented with groove house and more chilled out music, but today with “Neon Sky”, they brought back old vibes that amazed us. Sure, it’s normal (and a good thing) experimenting new styles, but we are annoying nostalgic reviewers, so hearing some old style progressive warmed our cold hearts. Jokes apart, we are glad to see how the duo manages different styles in a good way. Our love, however, is principally directed to “Neon Sky”, a beautiful progressive house release by Eclypse, their label.

Together with a splendid vocal by the singer Mikayla, the base presents a slow and relaxing vibe… A calm piano, playing a sweet melody, introduces itself, being later accompanied by a delicate bassline. “Neon Sky” is beautiful, well structured, with a rising climax that arrives with an elegance and class we consider unique.

The drop is… Astonishing. A majestic example of progressive house. Feenixpawl worked in a great way, leaving the bassline free to impress in the first bars, then adding a euphoric secondary melody. Needless to say that Mikayla’s vocal is simply perfect for this context: sweet, romantic, emotional.

“Neon Sky”, apart from being a great comeback, is a pure work of delicate art. Fragile like a piece of glass, with a vibrant energy. Feenixpawl in three minutes demonstrated to be one of the best progressive duos around. We waited months for such a splendid release, and we would wait other years if necessary… Since the result is so good!
