Besomorph & Coopex – Born To Die (ft. Ethan Uno)

March 22, 20202 min read

• Melancholic atmosphere
• Delicate breakdown accompanying EthanUno’s great vocal
• Energetic Coopex-style drop, enhancing the stamina amount

Besomorph and Coopex are two names that are constantly concocting quality trap and future bass music. It’s necessary to also mention that they are working at an incredible pace, with a lot of songs out in the recent period. Even their rhythm holds up equally swift: “Born To Die” is their fourth collaboration in the last ten months.

Nonetheless, they haven’t watered down on their creativity level and kept it high: Besomorph is more focused on chilled and relaxing vibes, merging pop influences and guitar solos together… Coopex, while keeping a similar approach, has more trap-ish and often aggressive approaches. Both producers keep experimenting with newer sounds; this spontaneity making it difficult to describe their sound. I suggest checking their music instead! I can recommend “Cradles” by Besomorph, “On My Way”‌ by Coopex, and their previous collab on NCS, “Redemption”. These are my current favorites at the moment.

But that is not all, there is another one!
I’ve been particularly amazed by their release on Cloudkid, “Born To Die”, featuring a quality vocal by EthanUno. Immediately basing itself on aggressive and sad lyrics, it works along an elegant, solemn intro. I would like to underline the captivating atmosphere that the duo managed to capture in the breakdown, which perfectly prepares the listener for the drop. In that following sequence, it’s possible to discern the powerful Coopex influence, which utilizes vocal chops to add a layer of energy, instead of dispersion (as often happens with that element). That’s top-notch trap, enriched by an expected guitar lead.

“Born To Die” might be a broody tune, narrating about a broken relationship, but I enjoyed listening to it. Two connoisseurs of the genre crafted a beautiful gem, and I’m sure that this can be a great occasion to discover their huge catalogue, if you had a similar positive experience with it.
