• Genial concept, supported with the right samples
• Creativity balanced with catchiness
• Heavy trance influences in a big room structure

In EDM, especially in this genre, it’s important to have a good idea. Sure, the quality and the enjoyability are important as well, with tons of other factors, but here, we particularly love CREATIVE IDEAS. “Epidemic” is a good example of what we are talking about.

The new SaberZ release on Revealed has a particular concept, added to the typical catchiness of the Hungarian duo, that amazed us. “Epidemic” is wild, ferocious, dark: a song that adds emotions and creativity to an already effective formula. The Hungarian duo, in fact, is (for us) one of the names to watch out in the Big Room world: their collab with Maurice West, “Rhythm Of The Night” got a lot of success, and their latest release on Revealed “Journey” definitively impressed us as well!

Their style is what we like to call “Festival Trance mixed with Big Room”. It has classic supersaws, but also a trancish lead that has been compared with Husman’s ones… And in fact, many fans thought that “Epidemic” was a collab with the Trance artist.

The most important detail of the tune is the vocal: an unemotional voice declares a state of emergency because of a virus. An extremely aggressive lead accompanies it, building up an atmosphere of tension and fear. This is what we love about SaberZ’s work: they created a great and intriguing mood! A trancish first drop follows the word “Virus”: a little pinch of psy-trance in the bassline, with aggressive fills… What an anxious environment!

The second breakdown adds even more tension to the song, escalating into an awesome drop, this time with Big Room saws adding the right dynamism.

“Epidemic” keeps an impressive balance between creativity, catchiness, and versatility. It’s a song that fully deserves an 85 for the splendid concept that this duo created and followed for the whole duration. Congratulations!
