It is often known that artist embeds narrative elements into their productions, engaging the listeners and crowds in the best way possible. Cinematic scores have been hugely integrated into dance music lately, as it enhances the nuances to another notch. For today, we have a splendid EP from an uprising talent in the industry, Arkana. Specialising in subtle and encompassing releases, he has revealed his latest craft. Naming this EP as “Ein Sof”, the contents galvanise the ear with its intense and sentimental components.
This alluring EP begins with the title track itself, “Ein Sof”. With spaced out synths and opulent tone, this song opens with flair. The minimal and simplistic arrangement makes it charming, working with precise rhythms. Following of the soundtracks follow a similar schematic and progression, including dreamy pads and riveting drum grooves. “Tzimtzum”, which is one of the follow-ups, focuses on laid-back breakbeat with leading melody hook. “Kether” shows a hectic attitude, building up and breaking down with orchestral drum hits manipulating the energy levels. While all the songs have different characteristics, they all seem to fit like a jigsaw puzzle!
All in all, “Ein Sof” EP manages to project deep feelings into the listener and unfolds a new interpretation. As Arkana states “I try to create immersive atmospheres with the intention of transporting the listener into another world”, we won’t disagree to his apt words on this sublime production of his!
