Ekali & ZHU – Blame (NGHTMRE Remix)

March 14, 20181 min read

81/100

The talented American electronic music producer NGHTMRE has given a spicy twist to a delectable and peppy track from the Canadian artist Ekali and renowned American artist ZHU, titled “Blame”.

Embedding more power, NGHTMRE decided to create an intense and experimental dubstep version of the original song, making it more festival oriented and kinetic. Introducing the original breakdown, the song features luscious vocal chops and an atmospheric catchiness. Together, they blend in well. Escalating the matter, the riser sweeps in after some seconds, transitioning to a spunky wobbling drop.

The drop brings with it a peculiar style of melody, playing in a sort of lazy but hulking manner. Furthermore, adept transitions give space to another brief breakdown, only to re-introduce another creative variation of the former drop, with more robustness and groove.

However, this time, the renewed drop unveils even more synths, different to the previous. With wobbling synths and experimental backdrop injecting more power, the drop manages to embed the necessary dynamism into the overall production.

In all, this remix is a genuine idea from NGHTMRE, a worthy remix for the relishing original song.
