Maximals and Boothed from Italy have teamed up for a powerful EP, which got released on Nicky Romero’s imprint, Protocol Recordings. Titled as “Up & Down“, the content of this EP sound simple yet efficacious. Although Maximals groovy production have gained attraction with their recent releases on Protocol Recordings, their fellow native Boothed has signed their first Protocol release. Needless to say, the records sound interesting and full of stamina.
Talking about the first track of the EP, ‘Up’ keeps a simple uplifting beat, followed by an energetic rhythm. However, the breakdown sticks to a slow tune with some good chorus on the background filling with the energy. The ending drop takes a lead with the intense synth, finishing with an energetic vibe.
The second production of this EP, ‘Down’ has a groovy melody with the intro starting with a zest. With a memorable and hooking melody, this song has a minimal tone on the background, in between the drop. The breakdown of the track is low pitched and building up, providing a different arrangement than usual.
Overall, the EP is groovy and perfect material for the sets which will suit the dance floor quite effectively. Looking forward to more material from Maximals & Boothed this eventful year!
