91\100

• Magical and emotional atmosphere
• Stunning frenetic melody
• Creativity and personality, mixed with pure talent

I was doing a Q&A last week on Instagram, and a fan suggested to check “We Are The Fallen”. Thank you! It wasn’t released yet, so I waited some days and finally enjoyed this incredible collaboration between Sub Zero Project and Phuture Noize.

I really enjoy Sub Zero Project: Heady presented them to me with “Our Church“, and since that moment I explored their style, composed of brutal kicks, frenetic bassline and aggressive sounds. About Phuture Noize, I really like his creative approach to hardstyle, he’s an extremely creative artist. His collab with Ran-D is my favourite of his discography at the moment, even if I don’t consider myself a hardstyle expert.

In fact, we rarely review hardstyle. It’s a genre that I find hard to analyze, because it works way better live and it’s really emotional… But today, for a 90+ review, I must try to explain my rating.

“We Are The Fallen” impressed me for its class, its creativity, and the goosebumps that gave me during the second drop. The vocal is GENIAL, it adds a mysterious (almost sacred) mood to the composition, which is already unique… After the initial vocal section, the melody begins to play. Slowly, slowly escalating into a gorgeous melodic hardstyle approach!

The first drop fuses a Sub Zero Project signature bassline with the frenetic melody. Bittersweet part, in my opinion, where I didn’t manage to understand if the song was aggressive or emotional. Nonetheless, this has been a unique experience!

The second part of the song is even more fascinating. A comment on Soundcloud says “this is not a song, it’s a symphony“. I agree. The solemn elegance, mixed with a goosebumps-giving melody played by the energetic lead creates a unique atmosphere that I’m unable to describe. It’s simply amazing!

“We Are The Fallen” is a piece of art. No more words needed. A 91\100 well deserved.
