A nostalgia trip: “True Faith” brings Happy Hardcore back with a modern twist

• Perfect blend of old-school vibes and Hyperpop energy
• Creative vocal rework that feels fresh
• A solid collaboration that bridges the gap between eras

I had high expectations for this one, and “True Faith” definitely delivers as a very interesting tune. This collaboration between TRIIIPL3 INC., Danimal, and Discotronic takes the Happy Hardcore blueprint and polished it up for 2026. It is a real jewel that manages to feel nostalgic without sounding dated.

The standout feature is the female vocal reworking the classic “True Faith”. It keeps that essential old-school spirit alive but adds a specific spin that fits right into the current Hyperpop wave. It is high-energy, slightly sugary, and sits perfectly over the fast-paced production. This kind of crossover can be hit or miss, but here it feels natural rather than forced.

I particularly liked the technical details in the midsection. There is a clear touch of Techno influence in the percussion and the driving rhythm that keeps the track from feeling too one-dimensional. The layers are clean, and the way the synth leads interact with the vocal melody shows some real thought went into the arrangement. It is the kind of track that would work just as well in a sweaty underground warehouse as it would on a mainstage.

However, if I have one small critique, it is the energy level in the final stretch. I was honestly lacking a harder kick at the end to really spice things up. A bit of a Hardstyle switch-up or a more aggressive bass distortion would have given it that extra punch to close it out. As it stands, it stays a bit safe when it could have gone totally wild.

Overall, this is a solid collab that shows these three producers know exactly how to handle a classic. It is a better example of how to do a “modern vintage” sound without losing the soul of the original.
