I’ve been living with “Higher On Live” for a few late-night drives now, and it is exactly the kind of immersive mood I’ve been craving. We have a 19-track experience that feels like a lullaby for the night-time.
“Higher On Live” leaves you with these genuine, lingering good vibes that are hard to shake. I found myself getting lost in the cinematic scale of the production. It’s rare to see an album this long stay this consistent, but the emotional atmosphere stays locked in from start to finish. It’s polished, it’s moody, and it’s honestly one of the most cohesive electronic journeys I’ve heard in 2026 so far.
Here’s my top 3:
Sweat (feat. Robbie Hutton)
80/100
The beautiful vocal from Robbie Hutton is the absolute star here, but that funky Deep House bassline is what keeps me coming back. “Sweat” manages to be both elegant and a total banger at the same time: a balance that is way harder to strike than it looks. The groove is infectious, hitting that sweet spot where you want to move but also just want to close your eyes and appreciate the layers. The production is crisp, letting the bassline breathe while the vocals soar over the top.
Shine All Night
82/100
While the vocal takes a bit of a backseat here, the instrumental is absolutely gorgeous. This is Melodic Techno, wasn’t expecting it. The crescendo in this track is crazy! It builds with this steady, driving energy that feels like a sunrise breaking through the clouds. The melody is incredibly smooth, weaving in and out of the beat without ever feeling forced. “Shine All Night” is one of those tracks that feels like it has a real emotional arc, moving from a subtle beginning into a massive, shimmering finish.
Cloud 9 (feat. Johnny Chicago)
86/100
Johnny Chicago has something in his voice that really amazed me on this one. It starts so simple… Just a piano and that crazy, soulful vocal. Honestly, it kind of broke me. It’s sweet, relaxing, and vulnerable, but then it finishes with this absolute blast of riff. The combo of that raw vocal intimacy and the final riff is excellent.
In short, “Higher On Live” is a masterclass in mood-setting.
If you’re looking for a soundtrack for your next late-night session, this is the one.
