“Money”: a bouncy Bass House statement with playful twists and unexpected tension

March 1, 20262 min read

• Bouncy Bass House with personality
• Playful vocal flip
• Trap break adds tension before the final punch

For this Sunday, I picked a Bass House tune that genuinely surprised me. MVRIC might still be at the beginning of his EDM journey, but “Money” shows he already knows how to shape an idea and make it stick.

What caught me first was the vocal. It starts in that classic underground way, more spoken than sung, hypnotic and a bit serious. I usually do not fall for this type of topline, but here it slowly turns playful and almost cheeky. That shift makes the drop hit harder because the tone changes without losing control.

The bassline is the real backbone though. Super bouncy, tight, and slightly unpredictable. It follows the familiar Bass House formula, sure, but there is this subtle twist in the sequencing that keeps it from sounding generic. The groove feels elastic, like it is constantly pushing forward while still bouncing in place.

I also did not expect the central break. Suddenly there are trap influences creeping in, the energy pulls back, and the tension rebuilds from scratch. I will admit, I felt a bit lost during the first few seconds of that section. Then the melody clicks, the vocal guides you back in, and you realize it is all setup for the final drop.

And that last drop delivers. Explosive, energetic, but still clean. No unnecessary chaos, just a confident release of everything the track has been building toward.

“Money” amazingly focuses on groove, character, and smart pacing. For an early-career release, that is more than enough to get my attention.
