Progressive with a familiar, heartfelt touch: Dany Oliveira enters 2026 with a hit, “Again & Again”

• Pop-oriented Progressive House vibes
• Clean sound design and expressive vocals
• Emotional drop that plays it safe but works

From Portugal, Dany Oliveira just released a lovely Progressive House track titled “Again & Again”. Still early in his journey, he only kicked things off in April 2024 with his debut single “Little Demon”, which already caught some attention among fans of emotional pop-leaning electronic music. This new release feels like a natural next step.

“Again & Again” sits comfortably in that melodic, pop-driven Progressive House lane made popular by names like Martin Garrix or Matisse & Sadko. The inspiration is clear, but not in a bad way. There’s a strong vocal section backed by warm, emotional chords, followed by a simple melody that does exactly what it needs to do. It sticks. The bassline stays on the softer side, yet it still carries enough weight to keep the energy flowing throughout the track.

What I liked most here is the balance. Nothing feels overdone. The sound design is clean, the structure is easy to follow, and the emotional drop hits with the right intensity without trying too hard. It’s the kind of track that feels familiar on first listen, but that also makes it easy to enjoy right away. Sometimes that’s all you really need.

That said, the breakdown did feel a bit predictable. It follows a formula we’ve heard many times over the past few years, and while it works, I was hoping for a small twist or detail to make it stand out more. A subtle switch-up, a different atmosphere, something to give it a more personal stamp.

Overall, “Again & Again” is a technically solid Progressive House track that shows Dany Oliveira clearly knows what he’s doing. He can make Progressive, and he can make it well. If he manages to inject a bit more uniqueness into future releases, especially in those breakdowns, he could really carve out his own space. For now, this is a clean, emotional, and enjoyable listen that does its job nicely.
