Welcome back, Future Bounce! Years Later, Mike Williams goes back to his roots with “All My Life (In My Heart)”

• Classic Mike Williams melody and groove
• Gorgeous vocal from Philip Strand
• Lacking a little spark in the drop

Welcome back, Future Bounce. It’s been a while.

Mike Williams returns to familiar territory with “All My Life (In My Heart)“, featuring Philip Strand on vocals. Released on Future House Music, this one feels like a proper throwback to his golden era, like the “Bambini” and “Lullaby” days that made him one of my favorite producers back then. I gave them 90+ scores, I remember, which is not an easy feat if you know me.

The track opens softly, with Strand’s voice carrying that hopeful, emotional energy that fits the vibe perfectly. You can tell why Mike picked him. If you’ve heard Philip’s work with Rival or Lucas & Steve, you know how well his tone blends with melodic house productions like this. It’s warm, clean, and immediately pulls you in.

Then comes the drop: pure Mike Williams. Bouncy, melodic, and charming in that 2017 kind of way. The sound design is clean, the rhythm’s tight, and it’s got that signature pluck that reminds me why Future Bounce felt so fun in the first place.

That said, something doesn’t quite hit the way it used to. The melody works but doesn’t leave a strong imprint. It almost feels like an old project dusted off and slightly updated rather than something fresh. Nostalgia carries it far, but not far enough to make it memorable in today’s landscape.

Still, I can’t deny how nice it is to hear Mike back in this sound. There’s comfort in the simplicity, even if the emotion doesn’t fully explode like it could’ve. “All My Life (In My Heart)” is a sweet listen, and that vocal is easily one of the best I’ve heard in this style lately. I just wish it went a bit further.
